Role / Position Name : Medical Officer (MO)
Department : Operations
Responsibilities : Medical Officer will be the in-charge and overall responsible for the effective functioning of the MMU. The other staff of the MMU will work under his/her supervision on a day to day basis.
Conducts medical camps in designated villages as per roster.
In case of referral to the nearest facility, the MO shall maintain suitable records (detail address and the cause of emergency in the register and log book of the vehicle) and issue clear descriptive referral slips. He / She shall take immediate and appropriate actions during outbreaks of diseases and epidemic and inform concerned DM&HO as well as, to render assistance as required and feasible.
MO shall work in collaboration with Deputy DM&HO of concerned area and the MO In charge of concerned PHC under whose area services are being rendered.
MO shall work in coordination and cooperation with the health staff of the government department, local authorities, Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Committee (VHSNC) etc.
Screening, diagnose and refer the patients
Coordinate with all nursing/Para medical & non-medical staff and ensure camps are done regularly.
Complete and correct documentation of patient file & records.
Ensures required medicines are available including Lab equipment & consumables.
Authorities : Responsible for overall functioning and managing of MMU.

  • Regular field audits pertaining to domain service quality and sharing corrective actions required with the management.
  • Impact assessment studies of the project.
  • Liasoning with various government Health departments and other government bodies.
  • Attending regular meetings with district medical authorities
  • Providing regular feedback to the Domain expert about on field service delivery.
  • Training of van staff on clinical domain aspects.
